![]() In order to improve some of the shortcomings I did a search on Chinese sites for similar tablets and found two: AW920 and Nextway F8. When I've checked I found that the tablet does not go to deep sleep, which drains the battery over night. The battery life was not good at all and as you all know there is no Google Play Store and the WiFi is terrible. (Don't forget $25 sign up bonus and any cash back program ie. Essentially its the equivalent of a Chinese/generic/eBay tablet without the waiting time, but with a 6 month return policy, and a warranty.īTW, use the SHOP15 promo code for $15 worth of essentially free stuff (see my first post above) when you also get a filler item like a clip or eraser. In the end, for the price of $75 to my door its a keeper for us (again, will be mainly used by my 3.5yr old). I find it to be the right size for portability and for reading webpages (in portrait mode) and it's not too wide (again in portrait) that my thumbs aren't straining to thumb-type on the keypad. I got another for $2 on eBay along with a generic 8" folio stand for $4.hopefully it fits.įor me personally though. However, it's got to come off as a few specks of debris were left on the screen when it was applied. ![]() It had a nice smooth feel for slides/swipes.not "sticky" like I've felt on other cheap protectors. ![]() it actually had an adequate mid-grade quality screen protector already applied (with quick start guide info printed on the removable masking layer). cheapish build quality (again expected) but A LOT better than some of the other crap that's flooded the market at this price point. Have to max out the volume for vids/netflix.on par with cheap cell phones. Still have to test real-world streaming and gaming times. The tab was always at 40% brightness which is my personal preferred setting. When I powered the unit back on in the morning the battery indicator reported 34% but then only gave me 1hr of usable time on with WiFi on before shutting down. Note: battery indicator reported 99% for a long time about 90mins before it started going down. om full charge I mainly browsed on WiFi for 6+ hours (with just a few youtube/netflix clips and some lite game testing) and installing a handful of apps, and the battery indicator reported 50% when I full powered off for the night. Still tolerable if your just browsing RFD and such. Tim Horton's and mcD WiFi gets ~700kbs where I was sitting but dropped to ~300kbps when I moved to a corner. Thankfully our router is in the living room and my daughters room is right above it-the 2 places where it will get most use. Tab only goes above 3mbps when literally beside the router. At about half that distance only getting 1-2mbps d/l whereas our other devices are 7+mbps. I know there's not much interest in this but here's some quick feedback anyway as I finally got to play around with it this past weekend.
